Probably for the Chinese market only, with specific modifications to meet the local regulations (emissions standards, etc).

Yes, NTNON was early 80's as the Ambassador from 1982 but the ad was mickey take on the "Handbuilt by Robots" Fiat Strada of the late 70's. Sadly nothing at Longbridge anymore...like other assembly plants of that era.

I still remember my Rover 214 which was made at Longbridge. It was a very nice car based on the Honda Concerto but fitted with the Rover's own K-series engine.

My ex-colleague, by incident, now living in a property built at where the plant was.
