before mapping a standard 180bhp cupra what would be the best things to change and what powers to expect... what mappers would you all give the thumbs up would like around 210-220bhp as been told the extra lb torque makes the driving mega different on a totally standard car, its a 03 plate with forge 007 fitted only, everythink else still stock

Hi i have a 180 cupra, now with 230 bhp,

To get this power i have had full Miltek exhaust including large down pip with sport cat this is the non resonated one and sounds great, up graded silicon TIP, forge diverter value, panel filter, this has the all been mapped stage two by AMD of Essex who i cant recommend highly enough,

Power now is very smooth and the thing just pulls like a train very very happy with the results

Next on my list is a FMIC

Hope this helps

To get the figure you want youll need turbo back exhaust and a good filter that should help ;)

Any of the mappers that advertise on here should get those figures on a basic stage 1 map, the only weak spot would have been the dv (due to its age) which youve replaced.

If you get a full exhaust system its worth looking at a stage 2 map for more power... but you also need an FMIC long term to get the best from it especially during the summer.

Worth upgrading brake pads and tyres too.[B)]

Run a few tanks of decent fuel prior to mapping such as v power to get the best figures.

thanks for the tips lads i sold my 450bhp jdm sti subaru for this as the mrs got pregnant so sold it and brought a nice every day car to share so dont want it loud and aggressive but think a bit of tlc and a little tweek would do it the world of good im very happy with it even though ive lost over 200bhp in a car but needs must... so i dont mind a cat back exhaust as dont want mot issues and dont mind panel filter but dont really want to start going down the lines of modding as got sucked in and spent quite a lot in that process...... so if it makes sense to understand what i want from the car just a little more not to start pushing limits and chasing numbers to gain bhp.....the subaru was very fast when built, 650cc injectors fmic, filter full decat,gt30 turbo etc as this all added up probably 4-5k in mods so just want a nice nippy motor for me and the mrs to share will probo look for a lcr when she 25 yr old anyhows as love the cupra but hate the niggly faults
