Are they? It seems strange that tyre manufacturers make a range of tyres for just one country.

I've never heard of that either? Auto Express publish tyre tests conducted in Germany or other European countries by their sister magazine Auto Bild. There is no mention of the tyres being different spec in different countries.

Well, I am referring back to over 10 years ago when UK tyres did have softer walls to Japan spec. tyres, they may well now all be produced to the same spec..
