a reply awaits in the other threadWhile we are on topic of the media system, does it support WAV files by any chance? Just converted loads of albums in FLAC format to WAV and now im wondering if it even supports that lol
Sounds like the media system is trying to mount the usb before the stick is powered up so it fails. Maybe try plugging a powered usb device (phone) and see if the issue replicates.
Thanks to all who have responded for some very interesting comment on what is obviously a fairly widespread issue.
I think I will have a go at loading music onto an SD card as that seems a more reliable method.
So, loaded up an SD card and so far working ok for just over a week. (On one occasion the display said "No media installed" on switching on but then recognised the card.)
mine came with a usb and an ipod cable. but i didnt buy new, so i could have just been lucky.
I've had the same issue but it's happened more often using a usb stick so I tend to stick to sd cards now.
