Right, re-located the fuse today.

Nice job.....was reading back through the guide and realised the wire I used isn't as thick as the guides wire.

The wire I've used is prolly just over half the thickness of the wire used in the guide. Anyone else used thinner wire?

Tested this morning - I won't be doing the fuse relocation as my dead locks un-dead themsleves once I put the key in engine and press unlock button on drivers door.

Just means the neighbours will have to listen to my alarm whilst I get the fuse box cover off.

Saves me drilling into my new car

now take the fuse out, and try again.

Accourding to this table:-

http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm

The wire I've used is a 5A rating. I measured the copper core with verniers. It measured about 1.5mm in diameter.

Got some wire that is about 2mm in diameter (core) and that should be about 9.2A.

I can't believe it needs a 15A fuse in all honesty, seems OTT.
