After doing a track day with PSS on and the weather was, shall we say... BAD! (dry in morning then hammered it down in the afternoon, lots and lots of standing water). The grip was amazing!

No problem with traction when setting off, no travel when cornering, could plant your foot with no issue!

Definately sticking with the 4S when these need replacing!

Quick quick quick :) - what tyre pressure would you recommend for PSS on a Cupra ST on track? Forecast says 18 degrees sunny tomorrow.

There is actually a recommendation on the inside of my fuel cover, 2,2 all four for the racetrack. A good starting point for any sports tyre (when cold!). After the first stint, check how far down the sholder the tyre is wearing, if it is riding the sidewall, increase pressure a bit. That is the most important advice, otherwise tyre pressures on track are a science by itself...

Just to clear up a common misunderstanding.
There is a big difference between road and track. Specifically in the rain, a PSS or even a Cup 2 will be a GOOD rain tyre, especially compared to true track biased semi slick tyres. Key however for them to start performing in the rain is that they need some heat. And the only way to do that especially in the rain (water cooling!) is to push them on track, or perhaps on a back road with room do get some heat in them despite the rain.
However compared to pure road sports tyre, they perform less in the rain because on the road and in the rain, tyres are usually stone cold. And people expect tyres to grip from turning the key. On the bright side, on the dry they can take more heat and abuse before they start to smudge and disintegrate...

The revolutionary thing with the 4 and especially the 4S is that Michelin manage to broaden the performance spectrum, from cold rain to hot dry track and this without massive wear... All within certain limits of course.

"What pressure should I use for track driving with Michelin road tyres (e.g. MICHELIN Pilot Sport 3 / MICHELIN Pilot Super Sport tyres)?
For Michelin road tyres, we suggest “hot” track pressures around 0.3 bar (4 to 5 psi) above the standard recommended cold tyre inflation pressures."

Put them at 2,2 cold, and if you don't drive like a nanny, heat will add about 0,5 bar to that so 2,7 hot which is about 0,3bar above what I run (2,4 cold) on my ST Cupra on PS4

Thanks, it turned out great! Though, a couple of times when braking really hard from 200km/h and turning in, I lost "all" engine power for maybe 3 seconds, what in the world can that be?

Might be unrelated, but when you brake in the cupra it automatically cuts boost to the engine, could this be what you're experiencing?
