Milltek LCR Turbo back exhaust, Road test in progress

As some of you know I'v been talking to Milltek about developing a 3" down pipe and sport's cat for the Mk1 LCR.
Well my car is now with Milltek for them to do the business

Phil from Milltek has said he will try and get the guy's to take some photos of the process so when I recieve them I will post them up.

Also I discussed with Phil the possibility of changeing the tail pipe design, which he was very happy to do, we had a look at a couple of tail pipe's and we have picked one which fit's the bumper recess perfectly, I did'nt get a chance to take any pictures but it is very similer to the K1 tail pipe so IF they can get this to work this will be put on aswell,
Again I'll keep you posted with details of the new tail pipe IF it work's.

good work darren i must say i hate the tail pipe as it is, blueflame and scorpion tails look the best

The one we are trying on mine is a lot fatter and match's the bumper recess perfectly, if it all fit's it will look really good

I think around the 300 quid mark with a de cat and slightly more for sports cat should be there price any more then it's not worth it pipe werx make them for that , be good to see the tail pipe tho

Yep the K1 tail pipe fit's perfectly and suites the back of the car really well

Be very interested in this as I would have gone for a Milltek if it wasnt for the tailpipe, and now having a lot of problems with my piper....

Can't wait to see this finished product as currently I've got a completely standard system wanting to be replaced

Hope the K1 pipe looks as sexual as I think it will

If the price is right then this could be my next major purchase once developed

I will be keeping my eye on this thread as i would defo buy a sports cat if they do a down pipe to complete my system.

Never fancied a decat pipe as i would hate to change it every year just before the MOT

Small update from yesterdays progress

"We have 'mocked up' the system and had the new pipes bent. Today we will be making the master patterns on the car and starting to noise and back pressure test the parts."

Hopefully the car will be ready to pick up Friday afternoon

I wonder why Milltek left it so long to develop one though?. Bit late in the game now with so many LCR's already been modded. Most people will have already heard of Piper, Pipewerx, Blueflame or custom downpipe options.
Surely they won't sell as many now
