Milltek on LC Banging, is this normal

I had a Milltek cat back exhaust fitted a few weeks ago and it was banging and clunking away so I got it re-adjusted. The banging is reduce, but it's still there and it's very annoying. Is this normal? If that's the case I wish I'd stuck with the std exhaust and rattling cars normally get the boot..

I'll see how I get on, but if it continues I'll speak to the garage again and also have a word with milltek. The garage have been v good about it etc. but it's just a case of is this normal.......

The Milltek on my car vibrates from cold and under acceleration and it really bugs me:censored: but as yet not had it sorted:doh: - have been told it is likely to be a heatshield that is loose - I know its not banging or clunking but I think a lot of people have had issues with Milltek systems

Arse... Last thing I wanted to hear... MMmmm time for a call to Milltek, as I don't exepect to spend a fortune and end up with banging, clanging and so on...

I'll have a word with the garage again and see what they say etc. Car is also on Koni FSDs and Eibach springs so does sit lower than a std car.

Running a full (turbo-back) Miltek system, car is also on coilovers & polybushes so very hard/harsh ride and no rattles at all.

Got mine done at Star Performance and Brian said it was a "right PITA" to fit as they all are on the LC, very tight fitting.

Had it on for 8-9 months now, with both standard turbo & for the last month BT with no issues :)

Think it comes down to the fitter........

could be hitting on rear axle like mine is

I think it's around here and I also think it's hitting the rear bumper.. I'll liase with my friendly garage and see what they say... It certainly sounds awful though, crunch, grind, judder, clunk and so on. It was adjusted on monday as I was getting the sounds on the motorway at one stage.

I'll also speak to milltek and see what they say etc.

Hi Steve how is the car? I'm not going to looking into the reason why mine was done on power at the rolling road, just bought a house so 0 money now :(

Having said that I'll be doing a fair amount of overtime / callout over the next year so could do with some german 4WD... :D
