Miltek vs mufflerconomy

Another exhaust thread...

What would you pick if you were doing it to your car - price vs sound which is better

I've made a pole...I'm not sure what to do i'm not sure if a mufflerconomy will be to boring. Or perhaps a Mufflerconomy with a miltek downpipe?

I love the sound of my mufflerectomy. Although mine may sound different to a normal mufflerectomy due to the way my pipes exit.

If I had paid a little bit more I could have just bought a milltek but I wanted to be different

Mine was made by Styledynamics in Milton Keynes. I designed the R32 style exit n got them to make it

I think it was mig welded but i'm not 100% sure

the real question is are you wanting performance or sound? as if its sound I couldnt justify the stupid price tag of a miltek.

Could you justify it for the performance increase? My car is standard apart from a remap. No 160 intake or green panal filter. So duno if a full miltek will give much if any gains?

A it currently stands, id say no. However do you have any plans to increase performance any further? If the answer is yes, then save money long term get a custom exhaust made, cheaper than miltek but will help with BT etc. If its no then go **** chop ftw, £70 and you will get a nice tone imho

My bad! just read it and it's a downpipe! Sorry fella! From the advertised heading i'd have said it was the full exhaust.

Ah, no problem mate - i done the same looked and again noticed it was just the downpipe.

Think im going to get a muffler. What kinda garage do them? Any normal Tyre/brake/exhaust garage?

I want to do this also. Wouldn't mind the downpipe too. £70 seems good. Dont know if anywhere round here would do it for that price.

I'd say go for mufflerectomy. Had it done myself and to be fair im glad i chose it over a milltek. Its got sound but it doesnt drone. Loud from the outside, quiet from within.

Not a great video but can just about hear it.
