Right fitted my new flywheel, final drive and that throttle body..... Took the car out friday night and everything was perfect, saturday afternoon half way to the missus house and the car starts to misfire.

So thought we damaged one of the leads fitting the gearbox, replaced with new leads.... still misfiring!

Replaced the dizzy cap and rotor arm, this was my old dizzy cap below:

Notice the two point on the top have gone!

Oh and guess what.... it still misfired!

Change the spark plugs, nothing at 1st.... Using a tool to see of there it power going to the plugs at first 1, 2 & 3 had no spark then 4 did, tested 1 again and the car started first go!

Took the car for a spin and everything is perfect again, thought I would go out for a drive to make sure and then it started to misfire AGAIN!!! [:@]

Just ordered an ignition module but if this doesn't work anyone else got any ideas?????

mucky injector?

Air leak in the throttle body / intake pipe?

dodgy earth strap?

did you replace all leads? (including the king lead?)

take the neg off the battery for 10 mins or so, then re-try see if that helps?

i take it you mean coil pack? thats a good idea....but they tend to work or not work, dont recall hearing one working intermittently....

keep us updated...

Replaced the king lead to.... the msfire only happens below 2500rpm but thus was all the time... after I didn't the plugs and after a few goes at started it, it was all fine! Untill I went to go for drive!

If this ignition coil/coil pack doesn't work, I'll be looking for an air leak next.

What's confused me is the dizzy cap! The rotor arm rotates so how come the top two points have totally gone, when the bottom two are still there????
