Front looks great;) Nice grill. Do the lights still as I said earlier and make photo. The lamps have a half-hour job and what effect.

I do have another grill but it needs a little work doing to it. Completely changes the look of the front of the car, but not sure if I like it or not!

The plan will be to put white "hella" style covers over the spot lights, and maybe a satin or matte finish to the grill.

I'll give the headlights a go, like you say it only takes a minute to remove then and seperate the glass

That front to me more like it. I would do these lamps and red stripes on the bumper ala SXi. Or, grab the bumper of a cult SXi and the yellow halogens.

Just took 1 of the lights apart, but didnt have any black paint (DOH!) closest I had was Grey, so Ive done it grey for now to see if i'd like the look or not

The passenger side is the 1 i painted, obviously it would be more noticeable done in black

On a bum note, the fecking tyres have gone up from £37 to £63 over night! I aint paying that much, so gonna have to keep an eye out for them coming back down in price, or someone else getting some in stock

Well I was hoping to get some work done on the ride height this week, but so far not really had chance, due to this blooming shite weather!

I cant even start to refurn the wheels, cus I need to have the car out of the garage, and its not really rain proof just yet (note missing window and handles)
I've fitted the decent P-slot with correct tyre onto the front so see how she sits, and jacked the back end up a couple of inch to level her off. Hopefully I can drop the back down again once the front springs are finally sorted. Not sure I'm gonna be able to get it as low as I was hoping on the front, or I'm gonna lose a sump and exhaust and maybe the petrol tank if i drive over anything larger than a cats eye

Anyway heres a couple of damp rainy pics from this morning

Been doing a bit of poking around, and weirdly (as this is pre vag) Mk2 Golf and Jetta "big bumper" Headlights/grille/bumper will all fit on the Mk1 Beeza. I might see about mock fitting the Jetta front grille/lights to see how it looks.

Anyway back to the real world a minute. The handles bumpers and stone guards are all coming off and being smoothed down and will end up satin or gloss black, and the windows will be getting a light to medium smoke all round

Car looks great compared to what it was before;) After painting headlamps ibizka took the character and I think is concrete right now.
Here's the forerunner jetta front to Ibiza. Front serial Ibiza more I like it.

That looks like the facelift Jetta front, with the more curved edge

The 1 I have been looking at is more mk2 golf shaped, but with the square lights

I think my plan would be just to remove the middle of the grille, and just use the outside edge to surround the original Ibiza lights and grille

This one looks like the one used on the link you sent, much rounder on the outside edge

Not done much to the car today, I've been stripping the P-slots down to get them polished up ready for new tyres.

After seeing the Red Mk1 Golf with the black roof other day, I wondered how the Ibiza would look with a black top. Not a big fan of the line across the top of the A pillar, so the roof pillars and scuttle would all be black .

Had a few small pieces of black wrap left over from wrapping a few things on my other car, so set about doing a patchwork wrap on the roof and pillar to see how it would look. Heres the result

Had a few off cuts of black wrap left from when I wrapped a few bits on my other car, so thought I'd stck them on the roof and a post too see how it looked.

Not sure how I feel about it yet, I'll have to get her outta the garage and take a good look before I decide

Chrome wrapped 1 of the P-slots last night to see how it would look, and how easy the chrome is to work with.

Wasn't great to work with, but the wheel was bloody freezing cold which was making the vinyl a bit too stiff to work, even with the heat gun

Chrome vinyl won't be a wrapping vinyl, even the chrome wrap cars are cut & shut with joins galore.
should be OK on the flat faces of the wheels though, heat gun then let cool off 'til stone cold before trimming.

As you can see the back wheel still needs finishing off. I've chrome wrapped another wheel this morning and still not sure I like it, bit to blingy for an old square car i think. So I think I might paint them up in standard silver so its not so in your face.

When you think you've got everything done, you see something new and decide it would look pretty awesome!

Just seen a Mini with some door cards covered with a pvc table cloth! Yes a Table Cloth!!! Looks pretty darn good if you ask me though

Boring black doorcards
P1020117.jpg

Funky kitchen table cards! I think it would fit well in mine, brings the black & white together nicely
