You can buy replacement modules from eBay for £22ish each, which allot of people have used, myself included. for less than £100 you can replace them all.

I have two doors dead lock on me and had to strip them from the inside to release them, it wasn't a fun job.

Here are the instructions on how to do the front locks. The back locks are a bit more difficult as you need to punch out the disk holding the window to the mechanism.

I think you need vag commander to pair a keyfob with the ecu and you need the 7 digit code to enter when pairing.

the wiring in the front doors where the hinges are is common for breaks inside the wiring insulation it causes all door to not unlock with the key and even electric window faults i,e window works when door interior panel is of but not when the door is closed after 10mins also drivers door locks and rear hatch and rear doors but not passenger on button inside drivers door and when key in external door lock. this fault is common across all audi,s and vw,s fix is usually remove wiring resolder new wire or replace door wiring loom / new door wiring looms from seat £150 plus vat per door
