hi guys

one of the boys in work is looking at the seat ecomotive ones for company car

but theres two listed

an ecomotive SE & an ecomotive SE tech

is there any differences , went to seat and they just scratched their heads ummmmmmm

from reading broachures it may be this start stop thing on the tech making it a little heavier and less mpg

and the battery recharge on braking or somethin

could be wrong

but any help is a great thanks

also converted another guy into the Exeo ST one , we'l have a seat fleet now

The new 1.6 Tech does indeed have a stop/start system and brake energy regeneration to recharge the battery on braking or overrun. Means the instillation of a glass matt battery that can disharge and recharge much better than a lead acid battery.

cheers guys , what seems convincing in the books tho is the tech is cheaper per month (leasing ) than the just the ecomotie one ,

we was reading the golf version and they state the tech one does less mpg , ?? but have convinced the Seat brand so its a choice between the tech or not ??

The "normal" 1.6 TDI 105PS now introduced on Leon has elements of "Ecomotive technology", namely the start-stop and engine recovery systems. It comes in at 109g/km CO2.

The full-on badged Ecomotive variant adds some aero enhancements to hit the 99g/km.

Some of the fleet companies have included the Ecomotive tech bit in the model descriptions to highlight you still get the start/stop etc.

If you can, get hold of an April printed price list from a dealer or wherever. It has some new columns with tick boxes to explain what cars get what Eco features... :)
