Hi, I've recently bought a 2010 mk 2 leon and have been loving it for the last 7 weeks. Thing is two days ago I was driving on the motorway at only 70ish mph and in 6th gear and the car went into limp mode. I managed to switch the engine off to get rid of the coil light, and get home ok.

I've just taken the car to my local garage and they have ran a VAG diagnostic and pulled up fault code PO299..

The car feels a lot different from when I bought it, there seems to be no turbo kicking in and the car only starts moving around 3000+ revs.

I have also started to notice strange noises coming from the engine, when I start the car up there is a very high pitch whistle which seems to be coming from the back of the engine in the centre.. I think this is near the actuator. Also after I just switched the ignition off whilst having the bonnet open I could hear a beeping sound coming from the engine and then some moving parts.. Not sure if that's normal.

Anyway the local garage has ordered me a new pressure switch sensor for 50 quid so that should be fitted by Monday, does anyone else have any suggestions on how to fix? I'm not very car savvy and have been looking for pics of where parts are under the bonnet..

Been looking into the high pitch noise more.. My car is 4 years old and done 84k miles. Was going to wait until the service in 1500 miles or so to get the cambelt done but it is due around now. Maybe that's the cause...

I know there is an issue with a certain revision of one of the valves where the rev g one was the better one to use. Im not sure if its the Diverter Valve but maybe someone will come along who can confirm this.

Thanks for the replies.. Are you sure the pressure sensor would not fix. It says

Check / Clean / Replace Charge Pressure Control

In that link you sent me..

Ended up being the turbo actuator, dealer which I bought the car from replaced that and n75 valve for £100 no labour. Now that's sorted can look into upgrading sound system :)
