lifetime guarentee with wavetrac also that is transferable... wavetrac allows you to put more usable power down on tight corners than the quaiffe and pelequin but im pretty sure they will all be much and such the same

Hey all looking for abit of info from the guys in the know

Got a FR TFI PD170 Putting out 235 now due to DPF Removal and map from CC and its great but it wont put the power down until in 3rd and 4th so im looking at getting a LSD now i dont want some super duper expensive toy i just want something simple that will do the job had a quick look at the wavetrac website
Whats my best option?

if you want better traction in a straightline start with mounts and sticky tyres, lsds are more of a powering around corners thing

Tyres are on me list im just burning out the current tyres even in the dry 2nd and 3rd are wheelspin gears il look at mounts first then :D

Well Wavetrac is in. Pretty impressed all in. Never driven another front drive car with an LSD to compare, but I cant "notice" the diff working although the way the car digs in to, and pulls out of bends, it is definitely doing its job.

Only drawback I can see other than price is that it will show just how crap your tyres are when both front wheels are spinning like blazes in the dry in second gear! Avoid Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas if you are running big power!

I need to get on with these chassis mods, went out for a blast today and it didnt feel very planted, i think the shocks have worn down with the sportline springs so will need to spend some £££ over the summer me thinks.

Probably wont do the diff though unless you think it should be next on my list.

your the first person ive read of that doesnt rate the vredesteins. IIRC hurdy run them as well as his R888's and yought they were more than up to the job. you could potentially have the runt tyres of the batch. i read somewhere that there is a percentage of tyres that do not make the std.

I think the diff make s a huge diff on FWDs. Have only tried the quaife though. The VWR golf was very well planted, although when me and mike went for a spin in it, across a damp bumpy road, the car was wandering all very the road like crazy scrabbling for grip. So id be interesting to see how you think they wavetrac deals with the damp.

Cant believe how many mods you have managed in one go, your car must feel like a completely different car. love it[B)]

next car i buy, the diff and ARBs will be on before any other suspension mods. IMO the most important mods, with the biggest results. Coilovers will be my last mod

Maybe I do have the crap ones from the bunch they made, but all I know is they are noisy, they lack grip and they have not lasted.

The car does feel pretty different. Its a shame in a way so much was done at once as I wont know what has given the biggest benefit over the others.

Badly need to make it look the part now as the paintwork is looking a little neglected and I have seen one or two chips that need sorted out.

what you going for 888's or R1R's. iirc your up noth of the border, so R888s could be an issue with the weather. Id have thought the R1R's would have the edge in the wet, plus last that bit longer

Thought you were toying with going quattro Rob? ;)
