Mk3 1.6 Ibiza using lots of fuel

My cars using loads of fuel just put a new engine in my old one pistons went. This one has no air con out of a bora it feels slot faster but I've used ten pounds of fuel and done 45 miles got 15 left? And I drove ecnomically alot any ideas checked all pipes

depends on how you did the miles, ie lots of stop and start? 60 to me with current prices sounds about right from a tenner if town driving on and off, is this plus reserve?

£10 of fuel is only 7 litres if that these days so i would say that was pretty good really

me too 60 miles on 7 litres is 39mpg

I retract my statement then lol I think I'm filling up to early when yellow light comes on reserve Is quite big

I got about 30 miles out of the reserve tank on a 1.4...and that was stop-start ragging it round town driving...

haha no i havnt ive done full tank in 119 miles thats the best i managed lol
