Didn't think it was a K04 but wasn't gunna just jump in lol and your right a K03/s can't make that power in standard form.
K04's as awesome as they are in an Ibiza (imho best turbo setup for em, just the right amount of power with a decent suspension setup) they're a pain in the ass to fit/work with as they're so tight and require a lot of fiddling and different parts and bits modifying, and your running it on a narrow band Ecu when really it once a wide bide Ecu.
Least you know you've got a pretty heathy engine/car with not to much (other than the norm) fiddled with.
Only worrying thing is if it was sold as having a K04 on it when it hasn't, what else is it missing? Like the diff maybe?!

Yeah I'm presuming the diff is crap to and just gonna presume it's all lies. I'm thinking of taking it down to star performance and getting it RR to and them to confirm my turbo set up and the proper spec. The are audi vag specialists so should do the trick only thing still on my mind is it happens to be that the 260bhp printout was 0.9 bar boost and that's what my cars running? must just be coincidence im gonna sign onto the scottishvag forum and speak to the previous previous owner as he carried out all the supposed work. thanks again for the help chaps!

ko4003 is just a ko3s in a different jumper
different internals to a k03s, i think. said to run an extra 10/20 bhp.
so could explain why its running bigger injectors, 260bhp and why it was advertised as a k04
Your never get that power from a k03 type turbo. Can't flow enough air.
Id just lob it in a dyno and go from there, and defo get the fueling checked over.

Alloys are getting painted during Christmas when I can get a day at them in the paintshop. thoughts on what colour? Was thinking silver or anthracite as I hate black on black! the silver with the original seat sport stickers I think looks good and is oem. Thoughts? Also can anyone recommend a good tyre to go for everyone seems to say different im planning on buying cheapish tyres to get me through the winter and a nice new sticky set by March/April.
hoping to get a few bits painted on the car to either bumper and skirts to see how good I can get them and how good a match I can get before I take on wings etc or get my bay started. Hopefully few updates over the next week or so!
