I use petrol and a rag to remove the sticky pads and any sticky residue left behind.

Plans sound good, looking forward to seeing them done! Really like that colour too, hardly ever see one of those modified. :)

Thanks. Will try some petrol on Monday when she gets polished and debadged ready for going north, if Ive got some lying around that is.

Really hope I get this other job now. Just done some budgeting with my dad, totted up what summers going to cost me and whether I can afford it. It looks cheapish when every mod is done separately, but put it all together and it's an eye watering amount for a student!

Taking into account my current savings and earnings, it wont be until August until I can get everything done! and thats not including the cost of telling my insurers about any of this! Might have to start whoring myself out, theres a girl I know who does it (well 'escorts') for £100 per hour!! hmmm.... haha :D

Still no progress yet, money is so tight I'm struggling to put petrol in the thing.

I'm now finished Uni until September, so I'll be going for a 4th job next week. 100% of that money will go into the car and I'll hopefully start before going to Malia.

Nearly bought a set of 16x7.5/16x9 Borbet A's of ebay the other day, but was hungover and slept through the auction end, went for only £280 with tyres!!

Something I will definitely do before I have more money however:

Spray it or Wrap it?

Also wheels will be going a whacky colour, probably candy pink with polished lips. Chrome bit around grill, inner part of badges and some interior trim will also be done to match.

Cant wait now, it's getting closer!

Finally, progress! All the small jobs before the coils have started. I've got 6 weeks until lowering, so just getting things tidied up so it looks great before the drop.

De-badge:

Some more subtle sticker bombing:

Next on the list

De-wiper rear
Wrap behind plate and lower bumper
Tint rear lights
Spray badges Black with white or blue inner parts
Maybe spray round the outside of the grill black, white or blue.

Should be able to get that done before the end of the month. I'm working at Knockhill this weekend too so a bit of money will be available soon :D

My wee tidy up jobs are happening really quickly as I'm off all day, should really get a job or something so I'm not bored all day and have some money for the car, anyway:

De-wipered yesterday, heres the motor. Will get pictures in next update:

Today I drilled 14 holes in my airbox. I can't afford an air filter so this will have to do for now, the noise it makes is incredible!

Also added a Solar powered dancing monkey, but that doesn't really count as a mod. He's awesome though! :D

So to add/remove from the list of small jobs. Things still planned before I go on holiday, less than 3 weeks now.
Wrap behind plate and lower bumper
Tint rear lights Black
Tint headlights black
Tint fogs either yellow or pink
Spray badges Black with white or blue inner parts
Maybe spray round the outside of the grill black, white or blue.

I've also ordered a set of wind deflectors which should be here in the next few days :) Beginning to slowly but surely take shape :D

Wind deflectors are fitted. They rub on the windows and the front end though. Is this normal and/or will this go away?

I now have a choice for this weeks mod, either:

Interior foot well lights
Tint exterior lights with fly-eyes
Fit FR upper grills.
Wrap front end parts black

Not sure yet, all will cost about the same. Will decide soon and get things ordered :)

Go halfords and get some wet and dry sandpaper and give it a good rub down till it doesnt look shiny when dry, then mask up and put thin coats on of black should only take 30 mins I did mine like that and it looks real good and totally changes the front end!

I'll probably be wrapping it. Can get a roll of gloss wrap for a tenner, that way it's reversible :p

Tinted my lights with FlyEyes today, originally was going to have yellow fog lights. However I ordered the wrong colour of yellow so it was too bright and looked crap. Will be exchanging for the 'Euro yellow' so I used some of the spare black on the fogs for now.

fogs not yet done

Also something which I thought was pretty cool when I saw it in my mates car, a few lanyards, a bottle opener, a necklace I made when I was 8 and my spare air freshner added to my mirror.

3 more mods and the pre-Malia build of EGL will be finished, then the fun really starts. Getting the car sorted so it looks great for E38 in August, can't wait.

The 3 things are:
FR Upper grills
Wrap behind plate and lower bumper
My mystery interior mod, which is on it's way and will look amazing :p

FlyEyesKit UK are honestly brilliant, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong colour yellow.

I emailed them about an exchange and what it would cost me, they are sending out new tints free of charge with no return of the old film! Fantastic customer service! :D

Swapped the stickerbomb on the front for some black and yellow. Both colours still need a bit of touching up but I will do that tomorrow when I do the chrome surround black.

I really like it personally :)

Fogs now yellow, really need some FR grills looking at that pic! Payday tomorrow, so I'll know tomorrow if I can afford them, expensive night out this past week so I'm unsure :/

On a more positive note my car has more than 100 miles of range for the first time in about a month!! Also my interior changes came today, will be done Sunday/Monday. Here's a preview to save myself building up for nothing...

We will see how it turns out ;)
