Mk4 Ibiza 1.9 tdi 130 OIL temperature sensor

I have a problem with my oil temp guage, it doesn't move!
I have checked it with VCDS and the guage itself works and no fault codes show up.

I therefore suspect it may be either wiring or temp sender, the only problem is I don't know where the sender is fitted, can anyone help?

And yes I do mean OIL temp, I have the six dial instrument cluster with oil temp and volt meter.

How long have you driven the car or to check it doesn't move??

Mine takes an age to get upto or near temperature, like a good 30-45 minutes of motorway driving to get it around 70ish.

Mines probs bust as well tbh, oil takes longer to warm up than water but shouldn't be that long.

I noticed it hadn't moved after about 20 mins of country lane/A road driving and it hasn't moved at all on any trips for at least the last week. I don't know when it stopped moving but I know it did used to move. I'm not sure how accurate it was or how much use it is but if it's there it might as well work!

I've recently had some electrical problems, alternator load wire broken and starter motor wire broken, and there is a good possibility I may have disturbed a connection but I don't know where the sensor is to trace back the wiring, hence the question.
