Mk4 Sport 100PS vs FR 130PS

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 100 PD engine and 130 PD engine, found on the FR model. Obviously there is a difference in Touque and power. But how are the differences achieved.

The reason I ask is because I'm more than likely going to put a deposit on an Ibiza sport and wondered about the possibility of chipping the car. Would they be similar performace after a Re-map?

Revo claim to achieve 150 bhp on the 100Pd and 170 bhp on the 130 Pd. What makes the 130 Pd able to achieve an extra 20 Bhp.

Oh I see. I wondered if they were identical but with different levels of boost. Not to worry, 150bhp should be plenty anyway.

They don't do this model in '07 guise - it was repaced by the FR Tdi a few years ago.

It may be worth driving the extra miles for the saving - dont use them for servicing or warranty work though - most people are not happy with their after sales - cant beat them on price though!
