LOL, hit the nail on the head for me there mate. Back pressure etc is important to get right on n/a engines. not so much a problem on a turbo'd engine. 2.5 inch is commonly known for a lot of turbo engine'd cars up to 350bhp.

Back pressure is aloud of rubish, backpressure mainly started on old 2 stroke engines and people have this myth about it. i good friend of my dad is a subaru rally car designer and he was explaining it all to me, basically he said the quicker you can get it out the engine the better in simple terms, ovbs theirs more to it, you need a constant flow of pressure as the engine produces pulses e.g. a 4cyl engine creates 4 pulses as the gasses escape from each cylinder

have never done with a turbo engine.... But have with none turbo's, and had to put a box back in , because the car could not get the quick acceleration ... Just quoting a fact... Of coarse you know better.. Gr........ant ...............

turbo, non turbo makes no difference, going too large in diameter can cause problems. a turbo engine is going to have more velocity flowing through as its forced induction hence the turbo, so you usually need to be larger in diameter compensate.
ive built exhaust systems on my old 1.3 n/a race nova with good gains shown on the dyno, it was literally a 4 into 1 with a straight 2.25inch pipe into the rear tyre well, with a custom bike style silencer to help get through scrutineering.

if your looking for good custom builders check out these guys.....

http://www.pro-speedexhausts.com/

their website is incredibly cheesy, but search the internet and you'll see that they have a very good reputation. i know two people who have gone to these and the systems have been excellent, all of them are custom made for each car. if i am to get an exhaust system it will be from these guys, and im guessing it'll be alot cheaper than a milltek system...

Looks quality...

i want to get an exhaust but carnt justify the miltek prices, fair enough they seem to do alot of development and testing which is probably where alot of the cost will come in, but still.
