Mk5 Ibiza REVEALED - This is the real one!

This looks stunnin. Recently, I've not liked many new hot hatches, always preferred the model before it (ie, civic - hate new en, focus - hate new one, leon - new one SLOWLY growing on me), but this is one of the first new cars that I actually like. Think I is gonna be saving some pennies for one! Get a brand new cupra :D

Only 2008 mk4's will and it wont include FR's and Cupras due to there being a gap between the end of mk4 cupra/fr production to the start of mk5 cupra/fr production.
 
5 door still looks better than outgoing 5 door.

wrong shaped bumper though, the 'mouth' is smiley, rather than the current "FR" look with the slanty sides
 
having seen pictures of this car in a car mag now I have to say that I really really like it now. Really warmed to the interior aswell. Had a word with my dealer and 3 door might be out by the end of the year or the beginning of next. Told him I wanna be one of the first people in the country with a ibiza cupra so he's gonna keep me updated.
 
Having seen this in real life im loving it. Really wish i couldve seen the interior but cause it was in that dodgy bodged together artic trailer thing i wasn't allowed inside it. Pictures to follow soon just uploading etc.
 
I suppose we'll need to present AdLav with his polished trophy in here... As the - "Mk5 Ibiza breaks cover" thread seems to have been closed?!? Where way back on 15th of Nov. 2007 he posted

I E-mailed SEAT Ireland about what diesals would be available.

Thank you for your interest in the new Ibiza.



There are no plans at the moment for the Jewel Truck with the new Ibiza to come to Ireland.



We hope to launch the new Ibiza here in July. We do hope to have the 1.4 TSI engine but it will probably not be available until early next year. The range of diesel engines has not been confirmed yet but they will possibly be available yet in 1.4, 1.6 and 1.9. The Diesel engines may not be available in Ireland until December.



There are no plans at the moment for a new Cordoba.

i went in to my seat dealer in norwich today and spoke to the sales guy and he said the 3 door ibiza is going to be called a sports coupe and it's going to look abit different then the 5 door.
