Love the idea of the conversion, engine looks like it was factory fitted, and the seats look like a very nice place to be, but personally, I think that look is awful! From those photo's, whoever chose that colour combo needs the rough end of a pineapple. And 20" chrome rims? No ta.
exactly my thoughts too, nice work, tidy job, but the colour is awfull, like salmon, the rims are a big mistake too, if only was a different colour , the front end reminds me of an impreza abit, were the bonnet meets the headlights
i can't dispute theres a lot of love and money gone into that motor, but its a bit too personalised for my tastes. Each to their own, but I wouldn't want to try and sell it on.
the R32 engine is 240bhp as standard, lovely motor, but its best thing over the 1.8T (which would be a lot easier to tune if you wanted to of course) is the sound. No matter how much messing about you do to the 4 pot, it will never have that addictive rasp like that V6.
Its the noise I miss most from my M3, more so than the extra power.
So 240bhp and 4wd will make it about the same as most 2wd chipped 1.8T engines (KO3S)....guess there should be enough space for supercharger and turbo's (I have seen Mk4 Golf's with R32 turbo engines) but looking at some US kits the turbo's are quite pricey (they inlcude intercoolers etc) but they get to 340-380bhp quite easily.
I can appreciate the amount of work that has gone into it, but not my bag i'm afraid. I like the idea with the R32 lump though!! Well its not an R32 lump, it'll be the one out of the TT3.2
