Modification/Gains

Hi all just a quick one, just wondering what kind of mods i can do to my Leon which is only a 1.4 to get the most bhp gains out of it, totally standard as only purchased last week! thank to anyone who replies!

-Optimize air flow to the filter
-Upgrade panel filter of closed performance (like Pipercross Venom/Viper)
-Upgrade the entire exhaust system inc header
-Lose as much (dead) weight as possible (best option btw). Less weight is better performance and more fuel economy

Remap is possible, but dont bet on big gains. If you want bigger power, save money and buy a 1.8T.

Out of a 1.4 N/A i think you'll get minimum gains from anything really but a basic one would be to get better air flow into the engine so a couple of options. New panel filter pipercross one maybe, smooth and drill out the airbox (free mod so worth doing) Or the most expensive would be a induction kit im not too sure how much it would benfit from exhaust modifications but id look in the readers ride section for inspiration

Don't spend much money mate exhaust and induction kit for looks and sound only really gains will be a few bhp at most.

Seriously save any money you can towards upgrading to a turbo, then the modifications are justified.

Forged rods you will be fine

Just service it then it'll probably achieve the 75/100bhp it left the factory with.
