Steamy windows not!!
Seriously, any ideas why in the current cold weather there should be so much moisture on the inside of my windows, too the point that there is ice inside my rear window!!! Anybody else got this?

apparantly its your drain holes blocked up. I had probs with my old car steaming up really quickly and it turned out to be the pollen filter

Yeh.. poorly fitted pollen filter is a fairly common post-service hitch.

Ensure it's fitted properly and try get some air to your car on the next sunny day. Alternatively, whack a de-humidifier in there for a few hours. Try reduce the moisture content in the car.

Had this in my Escort.. although that was due to driving through 2 feet of water going from Mersea Island to the main-land at high-tide. I once slipped and almost died after stepping on a pool of ice in my footwell, one December.

:lol::lol:
Cheers guys! Will check the filters etc. Drainage holes? where R they?

I've got a problem with mist too - which has been worse since my pollen filter was changed at the last service last month

How easy is it to check/fit properly?

If your having probs with misting up stick the air con on. Its a dry air so will take the steam straight out very quickly.

Yeah, except the p*sser at this time of year is the air con doesn't tend to work around the 0-2 deg C mark, just when the mist is at it's worst!:censored:

having exactly the same issue, and the fact that the air con doesnt like the cold weather either just makes clearing the torrent of water on the inside of the screen even slower. I tend to take a towel out with me in the morning and dry the screen with that. Does anyone have any pointers to where the drain holes are, I could do with checking mine, but have no idea about them.
Cheers!

Normally the drain holes are in the doors I think. Bottom edge near the A pillar or the other edge near the B pillar. But like we've all said check your pollen filter as well.

Tompotts, you do realise your number plate is now illegal?

Same here
It's annoying enough having to scrap the ice of the windscreen on the outside but scrapping the inside of my windscreen is just too much.

 I've got the same prob,I'm running out of excuses for being late!

I had this problem on a big scale! my whole car was misting up last winter, i found that 3 of my doors were all leaking, this was cured by removing all 3 of the interior trims then sealing up along the bottom edges of the door hanger. Theres countless threads on this if you look people!

Unfortunatly its sometimes a lot more than just a pollen cover, most leons will get this problem at some point in there life without a doubt:(

The problem could also possibly be with water leaking into the car via door seals creating excess interior moisture.

Due to have all the door sealants redone next week and will see if that stops the a) wet carpets and b) moisture on the inside of the car.

Check all interior footwell carpets to see if they are damp/a swimming pool or if you get a build up of water under the door.
