Monkey's first Leon: FR 1.8 20VT, Flash Red

I thought I'd start a thread to chronicle the transformations my car will go through.

It's currently 100% standard (as far as I know/can tell) but won't be for too long.

That's it for now I think. I'm still very much a novice so it's all going to be new to me but this forum has helped loads. I'll try and include pictures of each mod so that it may help other newbies

Hopefully fit HIDs tomorrow and I'm hoping some other parts also arrive tomorrow!

52k at the moment. It's very clean though and has got full service history. I will probably look to change cambelt and waterpump at 60k.

Believe it or not, the vag 1.8t engines in the cupra are rated at 120,000 miles according to mechanics books

I wouldn't leave it that long though, personally

I was told its 4 years or 60k.....Mine was changed at 60k and thats whats always mentioned on here, how strange

I thought it very odd too, but it's there in writing. As said above, i wouldn't personally leave it that long. Mine's on around 106k at the moment, and i will be getting it done asap in the new year

My Forge 007P arrived today along with green and yellow springs (for before and after remap). I'm going to wait until the Jetex filter and heatshield arrive before I fit it and do them at the same time.

Ordered the filter over 5 days ago and still no sign but the heatshield isn't due until mid-week next week anyway so I'll just do them all together. Can't wait!

Heatshield came today but no filter. Phoned Venom and they said they had to order it from Sweden and it'll be at least another week! Thanks for telling me... Off to fit my HIDs tonight if I can brave the freezing cold!
