Hi all,
Changed plugs and HT leads the other day, and in order to get to plugs 3 and 4 I had to unbolt the air filter and push it aside (95 1.4 CLS engine code ABD). Any how I unclipeed the cover, and there was NO filter in it!!! Is this likely to have caused any damage? I have no Idea how long the previous owner was driving about with no filter.
Also to move the casing, I had to undo 4 bolts and remove what looked like 1/2 of the injector, surely there is an easier way to get to the plugs? Anyhow, I bolted it back on after changing plugs, and now it idles very roughly, almost sounding like it is misfiring. What have I broke??

TIA

Tom

I have done plugs on an ABD before without hassle, but mine looked like this when i was done with it

If it runs poor make sure plugs are the correct electrode gap and make sure they are tightened to the correct torque.

You havn't got an airfilter that (in)conveniently covers up half the sparkplugs!!!
Apologies for my questions, I'm new to all this DIY car Malarky.
