I'll try to keep this as short as possible! I have put bits and pieces on other threads, but I'll put all my problems here and hope that one of you can help!

My rear passenger door was locked shut. I managed to strip the door back, and by smashing the lock with a hammer and chisel a few times I got the door open. I replaced the lock with a second hand one (it worked when plugged on to the loom, so happy days - or so I thought!).

Once I fitted the lock the door opened and closed fine, until I locked the door, when it seemed stuck again. I have got the door open by banging the outside of the door around the handle (as suggested by LEE 69 on here - cheers mate!). The problem is that it now has the opposite problem in that it won't lock! All of the other doors lock ok. At this point it is probably worth mentioning that after the door initially stayed locked, I had problems with my alarm going off and my remote locking not working. I have to use the key in the door and use the button on the inside of the drivers door.

The light on the door doesn't come on when the door is open. Also, i have VCDS Lite, but can't get a response for anything controlled by the CCM. I am not an expert (clearly!) but I am thinking that the fault lies with the CCM?? Can I reset this, or does it need replacing? If I need to replace it where do I find one for a 2003 1.820VT Cuora??

Apologies for the length of the post, but if any of you manage to read it all without falling asleep and can give any advice that would be great! :D

I've also tried a battery reset tonight, with no joy. Can this be the CCM if the windows, lights and all other locks work???

Bump!! Anybody got any ideas, I'm pulling my hair out and now have a car that doesn't lock fully (not good round my way!) Cheers.

Well, in reply to, and to finish my own thread!!

I replaced my CCM and the lock in the rear door, reconnected my alarm horn, and all is working fine!!

I can barely contain my happiness!! Took most of the afternoon, and I'm now celebrating with a few beers!

Just waiting on a mate of a mate to quote me for a respray for my faded and patchy Ovni, and soon it'll be like a new car, happy days!

Is the plug in the lock securely, I didn't push mine in all the way when I replaced my front door lock. Drive round for two weeks before I realised door wasn't locking. Took it apart and realised I hadn't pushed it in all the way. Took quite a big push to get the plug to click in

It is now! When I changed the lock it worked, then stopped. I bought a ccm, which sorted the rest of the lock and alarm issues. I then took the rear door apart to find, as you did, that the connector had come off! Pushed it back on (firmly as you said, then double checked it) put it all back together, job done!

How do i break this lock?? what am i supoosed to be hitting? i removed my rear passenger door trim and metal cover but the window wont come out? i need to get that back door opened as it failed the MOT. pics anyone of where to hammer and chisel?
