Has anyone else tried to source replacement rear springs for these cars yet?

Seems like they are a bit thin on the ground, which is not too good seeing as they are suffering the usual corrosion issues, might need to get the car back from MOT place and fix it myself when spares become available! Oh, and no, Fabia and Polo each seem to have been set up differently so they all need different springs, now I did not expect to find that out! So it looks like the gripes and moans I had when wife's 9N Polo just passed 5 years old back in 2007 have resurfaced now that daughter's 6J Ibiza is approaching its fifth birthday - wake up VAG!!

Try David at SERE motors - You will need to give him the three dot colour code from the spring or the full model & chassis number details.

The springs weren't daft money.

The strange thing for me has been that I can't find any springs listed in VAG parts listings that tie in with the coloured marking, luckily this is something that I now record on any VAG car I buy, in this case the markings are Orange, Orange, Yellow, White, White. The evil deed has been done, ie my local MOT place has sourced two springs, though they did not answer my question as to where they sourced them. Initially when I got the "fail" phone call, I looked around for good springs at a good price, ECP sell reasonable springs rebranded as Sachs - but no stock of that part and no idea of when stock will turn up at central warehouse, so no good. GSF used to be agents for Lesjofors, which I rate highly, but it seems that just when I need springs, I've discovered that GSF no longer sell springs. Now I know that if I could get the correct springs, it is just a case of half an hour and I could fit them and get the car back to MOT place, but not being able to grab two springs meant that that plan was dead in the water, so reluctantly I let the MOT place source and fit springs. Spotting these small missing sections of springs at the lower end is not easy when working at home - easy with the car on a hoist and the lower mounting is at eye level. I've been caught out twice with this, previous time was just a week after replacing the shockers for an MOT, so jumping back in and replacing the springs for that car (9N Polo) was very easy!

That is what hurts, if ECP had them they would have been £61 total, having the time and a garage full of tools, but unable to quickly source springs meant paying out £190, not huge money, but being beaten is not good!
