Hi,

Has anyone had a similar issue? Was it easy to resolve? The car is a 66 plate 5f.
Sorry if this is a silly question.. but where is the side repeater on the car?

Thanks

It’ll be the indicator in your passenger side door mirror.

Edit: oops, sorry - offside will be the driver’s side indicator, no the passenger side!

Easy job - pull mirror cap off maybe trim tool. Don’t need to touch glass. Torx screws and electrical connection remove replace. They do dynamic ones on eBay etc. But it’s simple job

Note:- unavoidable in your case, but when my wife's Polo ended up with a smashed mirror - glass was okay, the most expensive part was the LED strip.

I'd be removing the LED assembly and checking it on the other side of the car before ordering in a new LED strip, these things should last a seriously long time.

Edit:- maybe it is even just unplugged.

I'm guessing here that now and again you do check that your indicators are all working okay, there is a tell-tale on the edge of the mirror on most if not all at least VW Group cars that have the indicator built into the mirror.

The green arrow indicator on the dash also flashes more quickly if bulb/led indicator has failed.
