Cupra r MOT

Im just concerned as the garages by me have deep rollers and the front of the cupra r's are low..

I got my saxo Mot'd last week (my day to day car) thats lowered 60mm on the front and that hit the roller slightly..

The garage advised i may have to remove the front bumper to do the brake tests..

Anyone else had this problem

Most garages Should have a decelerometer so they can test the brakes if it wont fit in the roller brake tester. At work most standard new beetles wont fit in ours so we have to do a decelerometer test. so you shouldn't have to remove your bumper to have an MOT

There are plate brake testers out there. They just drive the car on to it and use the appropriate braking system.

The decelorometer test is only really for 4x4's and if a vehicle will not fit in any rollers the test should be abandoned.

are you lowered?

lowered LCRs have been MOT'd with no issues. if they cant accomodate you, go somewhere else.

Just to drag this thread back from the depths.......

Had 2nd MOT today, passed again.

Just goes to show that it isnt neccessarilly a fail with HID's as long as they are aligned correctly (not that I had to do anything to them when installed).

Absorption coefficient was 0.55 l/m - a lot lower than last year !

Well, I'll leave this thread alone for another 12 months !
