My recent failures have included:
Bulging brakelines (front and rear)
Loose headlamp (all three of my cars have failed on this in past 12 months)
Headlamp aim
Not having a seatbelt stalk for front passenger seatbelt. The fact that there isn't a passenger seat in my Ibiza wasn't an excuse. If there is a seatbelt, apparently there has to be a seatbelt stalk!
Tyres
Rust in floorpan
Brake lines fowling front strut

you shouldnt leave it till the day before to worry about this, not alot u can do on a sunday afternoon lol.. i recomend a week or 2 before get it on a ramp and check it over for all the obvious..

maybe this is easier cus im a mechanic and have access to ramps lol!

ive checked it over in week all looks fien in my eyes but , mots are horrible i dont like it

Mine was off the road since May last year at least, and only got 2 advisories - 1 was my skirts and the other was a brake dics.
