Mounting amplifier in spare wheel well - is it safe?

I might get one of these StealthBoxz - can't bring myself to buy the amp box too it is just too expensive to get both. I was thinking of removing the spare wheel mounting the amp in the spare wheel well. Is this ok, will the amp overheat under the carpet?

I've got a stealthbox mate and my amp actually fits nicely in the gap between the edge of the box and the back seat (if that makes sense?)

I'm not sure about the spare wheel well though...so not much help really

if its a good amp and not a chepo it will be ok , as they have cooling fans in them ,
you can also wire up cooling fans from pc's which is a very cheap addition , and keeps any amp cool,

some do shut off , some trigger too late and get cooked ,

had a few that was too late - didnt mind as they were warranties with mtx & sextons

It needs cooling really. even if it has fans.
