not bad.......

does it fit flush to the floor? can you put the carpet back and it feels level?

The battery isn't flush because the stupid bit of metal thats welded on for the spare wheel but it is tight and secure. Im getting some foam to pad it out underneath to ensure its even tighter and more snug.

The spare wheel fits perfect and is flush so the car is flush, you wouldn't even know I had the battery in ther boot with the wheel.

that's what I mean, cool..... you kept the standard sized battery also?

Might actually put it in the wheel well now. I was wondering if you could have both (battery AND wheel) the way you have... Thanks for confirming

I used flexi for the live and normal for the negative, just so was easier to run.

Use a dizzy bloack with one input and two outputs or one with three connections, doesn't have to be fused.

Thanks. So to make sure I've got this straight - the input is from the starter motor to distribution block which outputs one cable to the fuse box and another to the battery?

If I use 4AWG cable for the battery and fuse box do I need to buy a length of 2AWG for the starter motor? It doesn't seem to me like you can use 4 AWG for everything with these distribution blocks

Yeh thats exactly what you need mate.

However just becuase the dizzy block says 2gauge in and 4 guage out, you can still put 4 guage in as it is smaller and will still clamp down on the wire but you can't put in a bigger gauge in than 2... If you know what I mean so 0 gauge won't fit

More questions... Have people used 4AWG cable for the connection to the fuse box or do you recommend 2 AWG for this?

Can you use the existing cable that goes from the starter motor to the battery to feed into the distributor block or does this need replacing? If you can use it, what gauge is the standard cable? TIA

Battery in Boot?

Would like to have run 0 gauge but it was getting expensive

Thanks Kyle. Yeah just trying to work out the best way to order all of this. I'll put a list up with links when I've sorted out how I'm going to play it

So you dont need a dizzy block...

You can just run the two wires off the starter motor one to the fuse box and the other to the battery poss then just earth the battery in the boot...

Whats best wire to use for that then both 4 gauge..?

and where have you all run your wire through into the car from..?

4AWG is fine for battery to dizzy block and to fuse holder and i just used the existing cable from the starter motor to dizzy block. Its what ive used with no problems at all.

Dont forget that the port on its own will have the cable from the boot go to it not the other way around after all that port will distribute power to the other ports IE starter motor and fuse box, and WMI in my case ;)

IMO this is wrong. Or i could be wrong?

The starter motor wont be the item distributing the power to the other cable.

Yeh i`ve used a dizzy, i think its 2awg or even 0awg, however i think 2 or 0 would be a right pitta to run to the rear, in a neat out site fashion anyway.

Mine.
