rite im bored to death on my night shift started pondering about moving the oem intercooler to the front bumper could it be done quite easy.?? Im guessing it would be similar to the uni setup some silicone elbows and some alloy tube to connect it all. Just thinking it would be better for cooling than the stupid place its in now.

do you not think so. Wasn't sure on it as would have more airflow but now thinking about it. It collects air from the front right of the bumper anyway aswell as the airfeed for the airbox isnt it.?

The standard airfeed for the IC is absolute pants.

Furthermore, if you're buying all these silicone hoses to move the IC forward, why not just spend 80 quid more and buy a proper fmic. Remember, the hose that fit on the IC will not fit on a FMIC.

imo a very silly idea.

Just buy a universal intercooler and the pipes if cash is tight and on your next night shift fit that.. will occupy you for a few hours. Then notice the difference on your drive home.

out of interest... one of my mates is thinking about getting 2 Forge SMIC's then having one either side instead of having an FMIC. he wants the more 'stealth' look.... would this work ?

He would have them plumbed up in series with each other of course.
