mp3 discs and folders issure

I done a VERY simple mp3 disc..


FOLDER ONE - 15 mp3s


FOLDER TWO - 42 mp3s


FOLDER THREE - 35 mp3s



I put in the disc and folder one plays.. but on the radio it shows up as folder 2 .. so i skip up one folder and it jumps to folder 4 which is my folder 3... Folder 2 is no where to be seen and i cant access ANY songs in that folder...

its weird and happens to all my mp3 foldered disks

am i burning it wrong?

Same happens on mine.

I think I read it in the manual that it's how it lists them. Folder 1 never plays, first folder you record will play as no. 2 etc... Don't know why though.

Edit: Don't know about your missing folder.

If you put files on the cd without being in a folder, this would come up as being in section one, first folder then comes up as section two and so on..

I dont know anything about a missing folder though? Perhaps you burnt it wrong, and its inside another folder?

On mine I had to be careful on what format the files were and mine didn't pick up all the folders on some disks.

It seemed that by MP3 it literally meant MP3 format, not wma or other common formats that most MP3 players could handle.

I had an issue with it not displaying folders if none of the content was in MP3 format.

Hi,

first MP3 cd i made had some tracks not playing.

They are all MP3 but some are up to 320kbps which i dont think the car likes.

Have now made 3 cds, but i first run the MP3's through NCH Switch Sound File Converter for 192kbps and they all play.

I do have folder dissapearing problems, perhaps it cannot read files and folders if the names are too long?

i would read the manual but its in the car and its raining so ill keep an eye out here and check books tomorrow.

All my MP3s are 320kbs and some are 25mb is size, car never had a problem playing them

Are you guys making 'MP3' disks in Nero or whatever burning software you have?

If so don't, make a 'Data CD' just add the folders and you will be fine...

Hi,

Ive just been using window vista cd writing utility and making a mastered/finalised disk. Ive found it works better if i write at 32x as opposed to the 52 which the drive and cd can handle. Im normally not in that much of a rush for a cd that i cant wait 4 minutes as oppsoed to 2 minutes for a disk.

I remade a disk at the lowe speed which hadnt been worked properly at the high speed and it works fine in the car.
