Hi all

curious to know,

i have a 1.6 stylance petrol.

Currently i get around 70-75 miles for £10 of petrol.

Based on current prices that probably comes out at about 11-15 litres for £10.

Would people say im getting good MPG?

Cheers!

Thats about 30 to the gallon, which is a bit low for a 1.6 petrol non turbo. Completely depends on how you drive it?

Mind you if your hammering it everywhere, thats pretty good mpg. If I hammer mine I get about 24mpg! Hope this helps,

Cheers,

29.2 MPG from a 1.6 petrol, good? or not?

edit - would seem pretty good as this is based on mainly urban miles, according to SEAT the mpg for 1.6 petrol is 27.2mpg!!

Really?!... weird... I'd have expected them to say mid 30's knowing how these companies exaggerate MPG

30mpg from your 1.6 aint 'that' bad if it's just urban miles...

I get about 23  ... if the car brings a smile to your face though then MPG is just another number :p

must admit i was shocked that there estimate was so low!

As you say though the smile is what its all about, i know its only a 1.6 but i have been driving for less than 2 yrs, and the 1.6 stylance is light years ahead of my old 1.2 corsa in every single way - apart from the fact the corsas alloys where much easier to clean :) lol

I get around 400 miles from a tank from my 1.6. I don't wait until the petrol light comes on either, always scared of running out of fuel!

After each fill up my little trip computer estimates that there it 460 miles from a tank. Which isn't far from the truth if I let it run until empty!

460 per tank... ha that'd be a sight... I tend to put £30 in at a time and fill up when it reckons I've got about 50 miles left - that £30 usually makes the computer tell me I've got around 160 miles :p

ha yeah it's a good car if you've only been driving that long, glad you're enjoying! :)

My Focus 1.6 got about 28MPG around town. On a run, that upped to 42-45.

New FR diesel is 42MPG around town. On a run... 58MPG :D
