Paying 1500 quid for not driving around with mudflaps is money well spend! :D

For the love of god, stay away from these.

I know!!!
As I said I hate them too but if you see the state of the bit behind my front wheels you'd be thinking the same.
I'm planning on keeping the car till it dies, this involves keeping everything ib tip top condition. So far the only bit thats seen some neglect is the stone chips.
Time to get them sorted and try to keep away from them.......
i.e MUD GUARD TIME!!!!!!!!
Next time you wash your car, if you have a LCR, take a good look at the bodywork behind the front wheels, you will be shocked[:@]
Unfortuneately mud guards are the only way

i don't see the problem with mud flaps..
to all those who hate them...why.. cant be any worse than driving your LCR around with ROOF RACKS...
NOW THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

there is a thread on here called "i'm new need some opinions please".. about half way down is a yellow leon with mud flaps on..
now we can see what they look like.
if i knew how to put a link for it i would of

Here you go!

Ok , first no comments about the sh1te - it's bath time soon...

These are standard SEAT ones, quite rigid, available in pairs. Fitted them to the back because of towing stuff. They look reasonable on mine because of the black lower trim. Might not look so good on an ovni Cupra... The front ones ground a lot as they sit quite low as it is; if you have lowered your motor even further, the scraping sound could get annoying... :)

I have black polypropolene (stiff, not the floppy PVC rubbish) EVO6 mudflaps on my car, I modified the holes so they are sitting inwards a bit more, but they look good to me and boy do they stop tons of cr@p from flying up the side of the car!

these stones that i keep hearing about... is this cause of the size and width of the wheels or are we all rallying around dirt tracks...;)

can't say i have this problem with stone chips:p
not taking the p*ss, curious as i'm getting new wheels on saturday that are bigger than originals...so am i likely to have this problem as well?

hairy **** mate... cant say fairer than that..although not got those stone dressed roads down here. YET... god help us if we do..

prob cause i don't have turbo.... wheels ain't going round quick enough to bother flicking stones up ;)

Thank Rob, should have know that you would come though with the goods
So your are the standard Evo 6 ones?
Are they easy to get hold of?
I've been on your site but only pictures of the back ones, any of the front?
From your description do you think if I got chunky stiff rubber that a set could be crafted with a stanley knike and might do the job?
Thanks again Rob:worship:

Why not pop to your local graphics place and get some clear vynil down the side ala armourfend

I have armoufend on the sills of the elise, it does help but I have gots some holes where it flares for the rear archs (and the elise has mud flaps on the front)

To be honest assuming it is a stanard colouor i.e not a £650/ltr flip colour, I would keep the good looks without flaps and get the LCR painted every couple of years (I used to do this with the fronts of my concours cars)

i don't like the idea of big rally flaps nd if you cut them right back oubt they will make much differece.

Now to the joke re claiming on the insurance.............claiming for multiple son chips, unless caused by a single event this would not be coved fact!!!!!!!
