So say if my car was mapped & had a mufflerectomy, I still would have no smoke at all, unless I went for a hybrid turbo?

I know it's a little off topic - but could you loose any backpressure or performance by cutting out your backbox & having a straight through pipe? As after looking at the videos im defintley thinking about having a cheeky snip myself :p

I Didn't think they did.. just some one put it in my mind that they might! Well time to start pricing up a little 'Rectomy for my bezza![B)]

£30! Not bad.. Did you buy the piping and take it to a garage for them to fabricate it, or did you make it up and just have them weld it on?Hopefully i can get mine done that cheap.. got V festival this weekend!:D

Nice, looks like ill take a trip with my neighbour down to Torque then!... Quite looking forward to abit more noise.. then hopefully one day a Vortex system! Might have to wait till ive cleaned my EGR and turbo.. getting alot of limp mode problems atm

There are far too many variables to say wether your car will smoke or not.

Even things such as outside air temps, can affect how much your car smokes. (hot air = 0less dense = less in cylinder = less efficient burn = more unburnt fuel = more smoke)

I've seen cars on stage one maps, that are far smokier than my car.

Your car will no doubt smoke. You just wont notice it as the tailpipe faces down, and the smoke is dispersed quicker.

if i was to get a system with one small silencer would that silencer effectivly be the back box or would it be further up the pipe and just a tip at the end?

Depends on where you want it. Generally, if its a custom exhaust, they will do what you want.

My silencer is where the original backbox was.
