im sure you dont need any tips gtikezz, being a senior member im sure you have done this many times and probably forgot more than a novice like me knows,;)

yer right as iff  this will be my first time using a clay bar so any tip greatfully receaved :D

Doing mine soon but i think i will need a compound to get rid of the swirls before it will look decent enough to polish and wax. Never used Clay before but looking forward to giving it a go.

The Megs clay kits are ok... the clay isnt the strongest but it should be fine to remove the majority of contaminants on / in the paint.

The only advice you need is to use plenty of lube and as above dont press the clay too hard against the paint, let it glide over the surface.

As you might expect the claying process will remove and previous wax or sealant type protection you had on the car so that will need to be re added afterwards.

Did mine with Bilt Hamber clay and water in a squirty bottle for lube. The whole car took about an hour to Clay over and was easier than i thought to do. After the clay i washed the car again, dried it and applied a coat of Poorboys Black Hole show glaze polish finished with a coat of Autosmart Carnauba Gold wax. Looks awesome and is 100% wet look even though the swirls are still evident if you look hard. Come spring time i will go through the whole process again but give it a machine compound after a clay and a wash. All in all well chuffed and all the products i bought worked well together!

Took about two hours from start to finish bud. I have washed it since and the wax hasn't held very well so I will be investing in a good sealer wax for next time. Its hard work keeping a black car looking good!
