Thought id post some pics of My Golf GTI 1.8t.

Anyway the car how it was when I bought it

Had the car a week or so & decided to source a set of wheels as my old ones were quite corroded

Won a Anniversarry rear valance for £26 on Ebay, Picked it up & got it painted by a friend who works at a bodyshop

Then the wheels I wanted became available so I got a set of these 8.5j x 18"

Photo303.jpg

I didnt fit the wheels streight away as I was waiting on some more parts to come, I decided to enable Miles to empty & illuminated needles with my vagcom

The other bits (Side Skirts) I was waiting on finally turned up so I got round to fitting the wheels & skirts

Next I managed to get hold of a genuine VW 6 disc dash changer

Also got a front arm rest

Then whilst in my local breakers I found these lights

After I saw an advert for re-mapping at a good price I decided to bite the bullet & get it done

With it being the AUM Engine with KO3s Turbo its now running about 200 - 210 BHP. Needless to say the drive home was alot of fun!

At this point I took the car to try & get some decent pics

Looks good but the ride hight needs lowering mate. That would trigger my being scared of heights

new front lip looks way better than the previous one. Wheels look good too ;)

Lowering was on my list of things to do but would only be a 30mm drop as I have clearence issues getting on & off the driveway as it is.

TBH the ride height isnt that bad & at least its a really comfortable ride at the moment

Out of the 2 what one do you think drives the best?

well......

dont get me wrong, i love the golf. it seems to be a bit more responsive bottom end but the leon top end FTW.

the 6 speed box is much smoother than the mk4, as too is the clutch.

and obviously the leon is faster than my golf as it has the ko3s turbo.

the car is a smoother drive than the golf, but the golf is more fun on a back road.

i thinks its all preference tbh. id get rid of my mk4 for another leon, but i know that id miss the fun i have in the golf, hence why we have one of each :D

hope this helps :D
