Hi Guys,

need some help as last few weeks i noticed my 54 reg leon looked as if it was leaning to the right, then the other day upgraded wheels to RS4 18" which confirmed my suspicions as the nearside is a good 30mm higher than the offside, any clues as to what this could be???
i will try and upload some pics in a bit if that helps.

Cheers

Did a garage fit the wheels or did you do it yourself?

Check the springs seated correctly in the suspension mount and check the strut top under the bonnet.

Have you upgraded the suspension or is it standard?

nope i fitted them on wednesday, i think it was doing it before i changed them over but wasnt as noticable, and the car still drives fine. its still on standard suspension but i was thinking of lowering springs maybe. but i dont want to lower it and the problem is still there?
thanks i will try to check the springs on my lunch.

Give the corners a bounce, may be a dodgy damper. Get some motion built up into the corner you want to test by bouncing it up and down, then let go, it should settle within 2 re-bounds max

Yeah - sounds like a stuck damper, or a spring failure of some kind, though I'd of thought with either of those you'd have noticed a difference in ride quality

^^ as KG says, with that kind of difference id expect it to be pulling lol

I can't imagine it NOT pulling with that much change...

If you excellerate and let go of the steering wheel I imagine it won't track in a straight line...

I will double check on my drive home from work but there seems to be no drastic pulling.
i think it will come down to replacing the dampers and springs, any idea on what make is good, i dont need the most hi-spec or expensive set as its only a tdi 90bhp, it will only be for looks really and not for racing around?
Thanks for all the help lads

mine does it when i'm parked for a while. soon as i drive off or as soon as i reach destination it looks normal. only the rear ones do it. strange huh?? i'm told its normal but normally goes un noticed
