Decided I best post a pic of my car. Its only a 2002 but its in great condition.

A few swirls here and there, but I am sure I can straighten those out.

Not planning on doing anything with the bodywork, but I have a few plans (with some help from these forums) for under the bonnet!!

By get the swirls out, I mean "Do a damn sight better job than any monkey that has had his hands on it before."

At best, it'll be less noticeable with a few decent coats of sealer and wax.

Can't say I've been to Bell Auto's before, but they are in the middle of York...

Didn't really have the need for that on my last car. It was a Nissan Almera that no amount of chipping could help.

I guess I am off to see Bell Auto's on Saturday then. I'll report back with my findings, purchases, re-mortgages on my house, I am sure something will happen.

If you are trying to mask swirls by hand (as opposed to using a machine polisher), use something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish that has a lot of fillers in it. It will still be hard work, but can have some good results. Top that up with a quality glaze like Pinnacle XMT Carnumba Glaze, and then a wax if you want to, and it will make a vast improvement.
