You probably know more about it than me, but I'm going to ask anyway...

A MAF that "reads higher??" - surely, without actually receiving MORE air, this would purely f00k your car up?

Pickie, stick with the correct MAF for your car. It's pointless going for a larger housing until you've got the larger injectors etc to go with it.

The ECU with adapt the fuel trims though, so it's probably not running rich, but over time it'll get to the point where it can't adapt the fuelling any further, then it'll give up and throw a fault code & drop into limp mode.
