Can you post a picture of the build sticker, the one in the boot under the carpet (sometimes in the wheel well) and also found in the front of the service book? The option codes (that bunch of three-letter codes on the bottom of the sheet) indicate what items the car had on it when it was built, and will include things like the country kit (i.e. what country it was built for) and the brake spec.

I've got a spreadsheet full of them (got from someone in Belgium ages ago) and will have a go at decoding the list for you.

The sticker should look like this

There should be a copy stuck inside the owners manual as well

(Not mine, obviously)

It's the three-character codes at the bottom that we're interested in.

The Phaeton in the above example comes from Canada: the codes translate as follows

Code:

The country it was built for should be easy to find, but although there are many codes for front disk brakes, they all have the same description "disc brakes, front".

I know there are better descriptions available - a short list was posted on a Briskoda forum some time ago - but I can't find them online anywhere.

If a few people with LC/LCR's could post pics of their option code list (just the 3-character codes) and tell me if they have Brembo's or not, we should be able to establish the code. If you send me your codes in a column I can plug them into Excel get the code descriptions will be looked up.
