183,000 miles and still going strong(ish). Had a new battery, new alternator and belt after it snapped, some rear pads after they got seized on and wore down to bare metal, and also changed both side droplinks. Got a knocking noise on the drivers side which I suspect is a broken spring. Recently had a bad coolant leak where the pipes go through to the matrix, was losing a litre a week but had new pipes fitted last week and seems to have cured it for now. Only 102 Cupra TDIs left on the roads now!

Annual update, failed the MOT spectacularly a few weeks back with a leaking steering rack, a failed driveshaft, a failed ball joint, a failed wheel bearing, worn ARB bushes and some badly corroded bodywork. Add to that a new shock absorber and top mount a few months ago, and new discs and pads all round and here we are about £2000 lighter then before . All fixed and the front end feels amazing now, tight steering, less crashy, more planted and just an overall nicer drive. Driver side door speaker has decided to stop working now so thinking of upgrading both as seems fairly easy to do. Really want to refurb the wheels soon as well as they are looking pretty battered, 191,200ish miles on the clock!

Unfortunately that is the case with older cars, but glad to hear that its all fixed again!

Got some pioneer speakers in a few weeks back, had to drill out the OEM riveted speakers from the doors, reason one had stopped working is the middle magnetic bit (driver?) had fallen out and ended up inside the door! Nice easy job to replace them both though took about an hour and only cost £50 with fixings and cables, also added some more soundproofing whilst in there. Finally adding a glove box light soon and both front brake dust shields have corroded off so ordered 2 of them. Also bagged a replacement drivers mirror as the power folding is playing up on it.
