Thanks for the feedback makes it all worthwhile :D

No problems at all with the plate and had numerous police either pull me over/speak to me and not said a word about it :)

A friend of mine works at a bodyshop he made it up for me and sprayed it gloss black. It's not 100% perfect but he's done a good job and it was definitely a fiddly bugger. I had to buy a second grill for him to get the exact same honeycomb

thats what they did to me, said the computer couldnt read the plate or something :( The woman copper was bin a :censored: and the guy seemed to want to let me off. A think they could be abit more lenient because it isnt doing anyone one any harm or putting anyone in danger, like speeding! Maybe they could give you 5 days to change it then take it to cop shop to prove it and if you dont, then give out the fine.

£60 is a joke either way!

Completely agree £60 for a plate is a joke tbh, especially with no opportunity to right the wrong before I get punished. He loved giving me the fine though you could tell. My friend who's a police man said if he wasn't a ****** he would have given me a vdf and given me the chance to get a correct one

This is how I am now rolling

Tie wrapped on for now until I find an ingenious way of clipping it on for easier removal

Pic of the bumper off the car to see the grill

And the engine bay pic I promised

I ran the car at York raceway on Sunday, slightly damp conditions which meant I couldn't crack the 14 second barrier. On the upside I ran a 14.4 and terminal speed was 101mph which is a good sign to see 13.x

Saw this on sunday at RWYB. Looking good! That grille looks wicked, bet he could earn some money from people on here for making those!

Also you can get re useable table ties, got a little tag on them that releases it, could work for your plate!

I thought there'd be a form or reusable tie. Will have a look in a few shops see what I can see.

He hated making that grill so don't think he'd be making another. It would've been easier if I could have left him with the bumper as its a bit rough around the edges. He's done a smashing job though and I like it being a bit unique :D

Yes being the short answer.

I'm hoping to come up with a way to have it angled but failing that I just take it off when it serves more of a purpose. I just clipped the ties off on Sunday when I ran it down the strip
