I bought my first EV a couple weeks ago and hence joined this subredit.
My car is a Cupra Raval. I think I got one of the first ones on the road. So far I've put about 1000km on it and it's been mostly great.
My Raval has 211 hp and a 52kwh battery. Range is fair. This morning I charged it to 90% and drove it to the airport in Valencia and back. According to the car, driving at 120kph I averaged about 13.5kwh per 100km. This is a significant improvement over a similar trip a week ago. I think the biggest difference was the temperature. For this mornings drive t was that 27.5C and on the previous trip it came close to 40C. Hence the AC didn't have to work as hard as it did in the earlier trip. I guess that shows how a hot day can affect range. In general I suppose I have about a 250-300km usable range in average conditions.
The ride is comfortable but on the firm side. Handling is pretty good but not sports car quality. When I first drove it the car felt a bit heavy but it doesn't so much now that I've gotten used to it.
My one complaint is that the media player falls short. I've got over 13k tracks in my music collection on a flash drive. The player often forgets what I was listening to after I stop and then restart the car. Not good Cupra, you can do better.
For the most part the EV experience has been good so far. I'm waiting for a Fronius wall box that will talk to my solar panels and until it arrives I'm charging with a 230v Shuko plug. It seems to typically charge at about 1.8kw.
So far I'd say it looks like it should be a great little car. The new Volkswagen. id.Polo is built on the same chassis at the same factory in Spain as the Raval. My understanding is that the Polo is aimed more for the family segment and gives away a little of the handling for comfort.
