I think you need to map the egr out if you get the delete. Might be worth looking into before getting it.

Keep us informed about the remap iam curious about how it performs after.. Where would I get the software and lead to flash ecu. Followed link on blacksmoke site but the leads look well expensive. . Unless iam looking at the wrong things lol

blacksmoke map wont help your mpg at all trust me.

oh and heres a picture of the smoke limiter black smoke uses....
If you understand engine recalibration aka tuning you'll know this isn't great at all

Also just how much boost is the arl turbo safe for? certainly not nearly 1.7bar of boost after you include boost spikes and keeping it reliable

Please note the limp mode will only cut in after prolonged time over 1.7bar boost aswell.

Certainly not the best maps for reliability, you've been warned.

Nice one Adam thanks so much, I won't be doing this anymore. Anyone shed some light on Hidden Power Remap??

you pay for what you get with blacksmoke. if you just want a pd150 standard file with egr off, I'll give it for free.

what you save from going blacksmoke keep safe for a turbo ;)

Hidden-power I too have only seen good stuff from and spends the time with you to get it correct.

I don't send my files across the internet, for one good reason. I wont have my name thrown on any car that could potentially have mechanical issues and then the owner blame me and try bringing my name into the dirt.

I tuned a pd130 last weekend and only got to 255lbft and 165bhp when the gearbox bearings started to grone, now could you imagine what would of happened if it was just generic mapped then the customer shows off to his mates how fast his car is now and it ends up like this ->

Arrrr, you guys almost have the same name lol sorry for the confusion Adam/Aymen. Completely understandable, I'm looking for 180bhp remap with egr delete so I might be contacting Hidden Power Friday. Great advice guys, this has really helped :)

Haha no worries.

The reason I ask is because I have had a blacksmoke map on my 110 for about 10k miles and I haven't had any problems yet.

Should I be worrying?

10k mate, I think the worries are passed :) Tbh I've been reading alot on Blacksmoke remaps and a massive amount of customers who've had it done are running 90-110 bhp from standard where I think or getting the idea that maybe a Blacksmoke remap on a pd150 may harm it more-so as more power after the map. As Adam said maybe custom map files are the better choice for the 150's 60's and 70's :) Hope that makes a little sense lol.

you cant really do much wrong with the 90 110's its not much of a increase.

The 130-150-160 engines can be very powerful so best to tune it right.

After looked at hidden-power iId say they seem pretty good and knowledgeable for a distance tuner. I must say I have nothing to do with them.

If you was from around me I'd pop over to you and spend a day making it the best it can with power, mpg and safe on the clutch if wanted. I get a good wage as a mechanic so I can do tuning for love of it and not for maximum profit and been doing it for 6 yrs in my free time [B)]

Ok peeps I've sent Hidden Power Remaps an email, just wondering if there anything else I would need to include. If anyones had this done could you tell me your experience and what you went for in the sense of Custom. Email: Hi John, I've been recommended to come to you for you email remap service. I have a seat leon pd150 cupra tdi which is completely standard on 84 thousand miles. I've recently bought a cable for my vcds lite program to read the ecu, but also I've bought a Galletto 1260 ecu chip tuning interface cable and disc, will any of these load the mapped files you give me on to my ecu? Also please could you provide me with a price for the stage 1 remap/flash email files, and how you take payment.*Kindest regards

O could anyone tell me what this pipe is?

They are the dreaded front mount intercooler pipes that pop off randomly
