Sold my car a week ago and it had been running perfect according to the new owner up until tuesday when he noticed that the boost had started to drop off, normaly it would boost to around 26psi but he noticed it was only boosting to around 10-12psi, my first thoughts where the obvious, thinking that it was proberly a boost leak.

Yesterday he gave me a call and now said that the traction control light was on aswell as the EML apprently the car runs and idles fine but has no boost what so ever literly 0 on the gauge.

Im thinking maybe a wiring fault somwhere? Although the 0 boost puzzles me as i got him to discconect the N75 to try and run on actuator pressure but still 0 on the gauge.

Any help would be great - i do feel a little bad, although its not my fault hes only had it a week!

Just to add, N249 and the N112`s have been removed and replaced with resistors.

Dale unplugged the MAF so that code can be taken out of the equation also i had removed the EVAP and SAI and got the occassional EML for this so these faults arent anything to worry about either.

hi, im the new owner, fuse 8 had blown and the wire to the n75 had broke, so i repaired the wire and the traction control light went out, but its still running 0psi of boost,, any ideas?????

i dont know as i dont have vag-com, my lead is on its way to me, i only have the eml light on now, but that was on before it went wrong,

You need to clear the codes after replacing fuse 8 otherwise you will still have the same problem.

You can clear the codes without vag com by unplugging the battery for ~15 mins, then give it a shot after that.

I`m going to be re-scanning it tommrow to see what codes reoccur.

Its this 0psi thats confusing me. This means the turbo isnt spooling at all not even actuator pressure :S

just re-connected battery, still no boost, but all the lights have gone off,

Seems that fuse 8 was causing the codes as the lights have gone off after replacing it.

I dont think its even worth logging maf/actual vs actual as its not boosting at all - 0 on the gauge.

After seeing dale in this morning i`ve got a strong feeling the cat has gone as it smelt really eggy, i belive this would restrict boost also?

Scanning the car tonight so we will see what has reappeared.

have you run it with the maf unplugged?
actuator ok?
tried a different n75?

coils ok?

I said to him about unplugging the MAF, apprently it made no difference, im going to rescan and check the actuator tonight.

unless the N75 is totaly goosed i cant see it being that as there is no boost what so ever. As far as the coil goes i heard it this morning and it didnt sound like it was running on 3 cylinders although it wouldnt suprize me as 2 of them are over 3 years old.

It really did stink of rotton eggs this morning which brings me onto the cat... never heard of a miltek failing tho?

As above mate, there is no boost what so ever, 0 on the gauge.

I would have logged it but i cant see any point if there is 0 boost?

A blocked cat restricts boost i belive?
